You guys have to start making stratgies, you might say "were not that far enough in the clan bla bla" NO!, in War Rock you've started having scrims, well I'm going to show you my own stragey, one that me and Smith created, and your going to have to guess whats wrong with it, just to see if you have that kind of mind.
In recent days it's become apparent that we'll be working on strategy a lot. In the upcoming days we'll be working on a few different strategies. The first one that comes to mind if pairings. In this strategy we simple have everyone move in groups of 2, simple enough. And if there are 8 or so people per team, we may start off in groups of 4 even, and then split off into our pairs later. Once we have half the CPs, like 3 on Coruscant, without attacking, just after the initial spawn, we defend the most promoinent CPs we control in pairs. If the attackers on our prominent CPs are killed off, then we can send a pair forward to attack and harrass the enemy forward CPs. The defenders especially will have to stay together, so that the attackers will be able to keep the pressure on without worrying if we're losing CPs in back. The defenders may be defending more than 1 CP, also. They may be assigned 2 or 3, if these are all releatively close together.
Regarding defending, many people seem to be under the assumption that defending is simply "fighting in a restricted area," which is not entierly accurate. Defending is grabbing the nearest piece of shit availible (i.e. a pillar, a box, a wall corner, a bookcase, etc.) and using it as you line of defense against the enemy. In a real battle there is something to defend, which, in this game, means a CP. In a real battle there are outer defenses, layers if you will, to be breached before the enemy reaches the goal, the CP. In this game these layers are any pieces of shit you can find to get behind while holding off the enemy with potshots. You don't just put your body in their way to keep them from taking the CP, YOU MAKE IT SO THEY CAN NOT GET PAST YOU WITHOUT EXPOSING THEMSELVES. You make it so they can not get past you without giving you a shot to kill them. Clear enough? That is defending.
Now, attacking a CP. In order to attack a CP, we'll wait until we have repelled the attack on our CP, and then send a pair from that CP. This pair is going to stick together and carve its way to an enemy CP. Once they get to that CP, they are going to harrass any enemy that tries to defend it, and they will spawn kill any enemies spawning there. If the pair can capture the CP, they then either move on to take another CP immediatly, or they wait for a pair of defenders to arrive, if the CP just captured needs defending.
If any of this makes no sense to you, read it again. If it still doesn't make sense, ask someone else besides me. I f it still doesn't make sense, read it again. If it still doesn't make sense, be on for a scrim sometime soon and we'll go over the strategy before we start. If you still don't get it I'm going to murder your family and you won't play in the scrim.
Thats the stragey I created, now figure out and disadvantages with it.
